The effectiveness of the reciprocal teaching strategy in teaching social studies on developing the future thinking skills of the students of the first cycle of basic education

Abstract

         This research aimed to identify the effectiveness of the reciprocal teaching strategy in teaching social studies on developing the skills of future thinking among the students of the first cycle of basic education. (30) students studied the study unit with the reciprocal teaching strategy, and a control group (30) students studied the study unit in the usual way, and a list of future thinking skills, a booklet for the student, and a teacher’s guide were prepared to guide him in teaching the chosen unit and test the skills of future thinking. Calculating the mean scores of the students in the post application, and the results revealed the effectiveness of the reciprocal teaching strategy in teaching social studies on developing students’ future thinking skills.
