يعد البحث  العلمى بشکل عام أمرًا  هاما في الأوساط الأکاديمية  حيث يهدف الى  زيادة المعرفة  واکساب المهارات البحثية لدى الطلاب   من خلال الممارسات الاشرافية الفعالة لمشرفيهم   بافتراض  أنه کلما ارتفعت جودة الإشراف  والممارسات العمليةعلى البحث  زادت  جودته  ، کما لها تأثير على مستقبل الطلاب  المهنى والوظيفى . . تکونت عينة البحث من المدرسين المساعدين والمدرسين الحاصلين على الماجستير والدکتوراه من کلية التربية – جامعة الازهر بالقاهرة ، والبالغ عددهم (52 ) من المدرسين ، و  70 ) من المدرسين المساعدين . ولتحقيق هدف البحث تم اعداد مقياس يهدف الى قياس تصورات اعضاء الهية المعاونة الحاصلين على الماجستير والدکتوراه  لممارسة الاشراف العلمى الفعال من قبل مشرفيهم . اشارت النتائج الى : -  ان تصورات عينة البحث من الحاصلين على درجة الماجستير والدکتوراه لممارسة الاشراف لدى المشرفين عليهم کانت مرتفعهعلى ابعاد المقياس المعد والمستخد فى البحث . - أن قيمة "ت" لمعرفة الفروق بين أعضاء الهيئة المعاونة في تصوراتهم لممارسة الإشراف العلمي الفعال طبقا لمتغير الدرجة العلمية في کل من  (الرضا عن الإشراف -  دعم الطلاب فى اکتساب مهارات جديده – المعرفة – ادارة الوقت – الدرجة الکلية ) بلغت على الترتيب (2.010 – 2.047 – 2.276 – 2.077 – 1.992) وهي قيم دالة إحصائيا عند مستوى 0.05 ؛ مما يشير إلى وجود فروق في هذه الأبعاد ترجع إلى متغير الدرجة العلمية (ماجستير – دکتوراه) ، وتعزى هذه الفروق لصالح المجموعة الأعلى متوسط حسابي ، وهي مجموعة الماجستير في کل من (الرضا عن الإشراف–دعم الطلاب فى اکتساب مهارات جديده – ادارة الوقت – الدرجة الکلية.  - عدم وجود فروق في کل من (قيادة عملية الاشراف - الدعم الوجدانى – التواصل بشکل فعال) ترجع لمتغير الدرجة العلمية ؛ حيث کانت قيمة "ت" غير دالة إحصائيا
